The Challenge

Do you want to make the world a more connected place? Tyk is the leading Open Source API management platform in the world and we’re looking for a talented Frontend Developer to help us connect everything from toasters & combine harvesters to mobile apps and enterprise solutions.

Our Analytics and API management dashboards are used by hip startups and forward-thinking fortune-500 companies the world over to secure, deploy, manage and orchestrate their API programmes. Ensuring that we stay at the forefront of solid UI design, high usability and a sensible, clean interfaces is key to ensuring our clients are continually delighted.

What can you do with us?

You will be responsible for helping us design and build the next iteration of our API Management Dashboard and related systems, we like nice, lightweight, modular and testable interfaces, and need you to help us achieve that.

We want someone who is independent and capable of taking responsibility for the delivery of our user interface. Our thriving community and our enterprise customers are the people you need to satisfy. We are fanatical about listening to our clients and their input drives our project milestones.

We need someone who likes to ask questions, listen and then deliver.

You’ll join our Shoreditch based (yeah, we have exposed brick, hipster coffee, skinny jeans…) team where you’ll be tasked with working on real projects to enhance our product range, troubleshooting client issues and contributing to the product roadmap.

Essential Skills:

Experience of front-end web development (HTML5, CSS, Twitter Bootstrap)
AngularJS experience 1.x essential
TDD for Angular modules using Karma and Jasmine and non-Angular common JS modules
Grunt
JavaScript (ES5 – knowledge of ES6)
Integration with XML and REST JSON APIs
Excellent communication skills
Self-motivated & able to take feedback constructively

Bonus skills:

d3 or similar data vis framework would be helpful but not essential
